Sunrise Will Host Walk With Aegis Week for Seniors

Sioux City — Sunrise Retirement Community will hold a series of wellness events beginning Monday, September 25^th through Friday, September 29^th on the Sunrise campus at 5501 Gordon Dr. in celebration of Walk with Aegis Week. This event is sponsored by Aegis Therapies. Walk registration is 8:30-9:15am each day at Sunrise. Participants can walk from 9:15 -10am. At 10:15am each day there will be a special event based on all aspects of wellness, including intellectual, emotional, spiritual, occupational and social in the Book Indoor Park. Wellness highlights include a historical presentation Thursday by Larry Finley, Executive Director of the Mid-American Museum of Aviation and Transportation. An awards and wellness celebration will conclude the week’s activities on Friday at 2:00pm in the Book Indoor Park. Sunrise was the first senior living community to be certified as a Blue Zones campus and has a full time wellness director on staff.
