Sioux City- On December 1, 2017, Sunrise held its 11th annual holiday concert at the Orpheum Theatre, featuring local singer-song writer Jill Miller. The Yockey Family Foundation was the signature sponsor of the event that raised over $50,000 for benevolent care.
“Taking care of residents is what we do, says Lorrie Stedman, Director of Fund Development. “All residents receive the same quality care, regardless of their pay status. That is who we are, and how we stay true to our not-for-profit mission.”
Sunrise has provided millions of dollars in charity care since opening their doors in 1959. In 2016 Sunrise provided $762,470 in benevolent care and unreimbursed Medicaid/Medicare services. Sunrise has never asked a resident to leave because they have exhausted their resources.
