Sioux City – Sunrise Retirement Community recently joined the Better Business Bureau as an Accredited Charity, demonstrating our commitment to ethical standards and charitable accountability. Sunrise was evaluated according to the 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability and met all the standards to be accredited. Standard categories met include: governance and oversight seeking to ensure that the volunteer board is active, independent and free of self-dealing, measuring effectiveness in achieving its mission, finances to ensure that the charity spends funds honestly, and fundraising and informational materials ensure that a charity’s representations to the public are accurate, complete and respectful.
