Sunrise Announces Volunteer Appreciation 2020-2021 Awards

Sioux City—Sunrise Retirement Community recently announced their volunteer appreciation award recipients. “Through the pandemic’s darkness, our volunteers- including all who have called, written, and delivered gifts and treats for our seniors – have been shining lights,” shares Anna Heller, Director of Fund Development and Volunteer Services.

This year’s award theme is “You are Our Sunshine”. This year’s event was hosted virtually on Zoom and aired on our community television channel for our seniors on campus to enjoy on April 20, 2021 at noon. In keeping with the theme, all volunteers who RSVP’d received a sunshine box full of yellow gifts as a thank you.
