It is more than suitable to thank the nurses at Sunrise as it is NURSE’S WEEK! However, we want to extend the thank to the whole Sunrise team – nurse’s, certified nurse aides, med aides, housekeeping, dietary, maintenance and all staff – who continue to come to work day in and day out. We continue to watch them be the resident’s “EVERYTHING”. They are all currently playing the role of the resident’s friend, caregivers, family, activity coordinators, social workers and counselors.
Their commitment to caring in the midst of all they must do is extraordinary! As they continue to work through these uncertain times managing their own personal challenges: teaching their kids at home, finding daycare, financial burdens, and family members fighting this virus. They still manage to come to work and show compassion for our residents with a smile every day.
We couldn’t be more proud of our team of unsung heroes through this trying time!
