Sunrise has been a part of the Sioux City community for close to 60 years, and just like the old adage goes: The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Even when Sunrise was just a dream in the mid-1950s, the campus plan included not only a nursing facility, but also cottages and even a three-hole golf course. Today Sunrise offers seniors the region’s most comprehensive range of services: independent living, assisted living, nursing care, and memory care in assisted living or nursing environments, along with home care options.
An integral component of our continuum is Fountain View, our assisted living community. Balancing freedom with peace of mind, Fountain View offers a fully- or semi-independent style of living but with certain services (health-related care, personal care, or assistance with dressing, housework, or managing medication) also available. Assisted living is ideal for seniors who have a chronic condition or need help close by… just in case.
The beauty of Fountain View, like all parts of our campus, is that you can move anywhere else at Sunrise and still be connected to everything from the same schedules to the same smiles. It facilitates a smooth transition–and that’s the whole point.
We’ve adopted a model centered on aging in place. That means you can change seamlessly from one part of Sunrise to another. Couples who may be in different stages of care needs can remain close more easily when it only involves walking a few steps (instead of driving miles) to spend time together. Residents and tenants quickly become friends or continue friendships formed before moving to Sunrise. Caring staff team members become an extended support system to everyone here. Moving to Sunrise puts you in the middle of a social network that will always be there for you–regardless of where you live on campus.
