August 26 – Visitation Letter

August 26, 2020

August 26, 2020

On a daily basis, Sunrise administration is keeping a careful eye on the spread of coronavirus in our local area.  This week we have watched as the positivity rate (14 day rolling average) has crept close to the 10% mark.  As a result, we have determined that it is important for us to restrict some of our visitation processes for the time being.

First and foremost, guests will ONLY be allowed to visit if they are following all Sunrise policies for safe visits.  This includes wearing a mask throughout the visit, keeping 6ft distance and only coming for a visit when you have an appointment.  This is for any type of visit, including window visits.

Secondly, we are only going to allow window visits for our memory care neighborhoods as these residents are at a higher risk for transmitting the disease to each other since they are not able to remember to wear masks or keep social distance in their neighborhood.

Compassionate care visits will only be allowed for end of life situations and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Any guest who does not follow Sunrise policies or refuses to follow policy will be asked to leave and will not be able to make a visiting appointment until further notice.

We will continue to monitor the positivity rate for our local area and ask for your understanding and support as we make these adjustments.

Please share this information with others in your family that may not have gotten this information.

Sincerely,

Hallie Salmen, CEO          &             Chris Schenkelberg, Administrator
