Sunrise Retirement Community has been awarded a grant for $5,000 to fund the purchase of a new Hoyer lift. The lift is an assistive device that aides caregivers when transferring or re-positioning a skilled nursing resident. It takes the burden off the bodies of caregivers and the minds of the residents who cannot move on their own.
Sunrise is a community-based, not-for-profit senior living community with a benevolent mission. It provides the entire continuum of care, from independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, home health care and homemaker services and specialized memory care.Â
